We have two daughters who have now left home, so we decided to embark on a new adventure of our own. In 2015, we ended up at Dartmoor View Lodges, a delightful site in a wonderful part of the country. We are about 10 miles off the north-west corner of Dartmoor and enjoy stunning, uninterrupted views across the Devon countryside towards Dartmoor. The lodges were constructed in 2006 and are made from 8″ round logs. The inside walls are formed by the actual logs, they are very cosy and well insulated – warm in winter and cool in summer.

Much of our time is spent keeping on top of everything around the site which we love to do! We also have a couple of dogs who need walking often and we're fortunate to live in a place with plenty of walks close to the lodge or a short drive away, for example the lovely beach at Bude is a favorite.
